If all that stuff they went through is real then who’s to say the god of the ocean isn’t a giant dragon with an undersea palace after all.

If someone bothered to come up with the myth in the first place, then there has to be some sort of truth to it. I mean...I live in a world full of actual, real magic, and I still didn't really want to believe it.

[He swings his legs a little over the edge of the seat, watching Rina out of the corner of his eye.]

[Varian had started to say something, but Rina kisses him and he sort of just...makes the nonsense sound equivalent of somebody keysmashing before dissolving into soft laughter under his breath, eventually bringing a hand up to his mouth to halfway stifle it.]

What you see now took 200 years to get to. Places in the country that used to take days or even months to get to now only take a few hours. It takes time, but if people keep working then anything is possible eventually.
