[Cute...well, it'd be a lot cuter if he wasn't so distressed. But at least he's just embarrassed as opposed to being in any actual danger.

Poseidon moves to sit down once he has Amphitrite in his hand, letting his tail curl halfway around his side as he holds his hand out in front of him.]

It is that bad, huh?

It... It is very...

[ He WANTS to say indecent but he feels that isn't fair to his family... after all he never saw it as indecent or thought twice about it seeing it on THEM, nor does he feel that way about how little Poseidon wears. It was just... when he saw it on himself... ]

...it is very exposed... m-much too exposed for m-me...

[karappo]

[In fairness, if you didn't count his armor...Poseidon wears nothing. Whenever he has legs, the only thing keeping him decent are the rows of scales that travel up his legs and torso. Otherwise...he's just. There.]

I remember you mentioning that before...I am sorry that your other clothing got torn to the point of being unwearable. Do you think you would be more comfortable if you changed back after I found you something more covering to put on?

[matteimasu]

Y-Yes, please... th-that would be preferable...

[karappo]

I will take care of it for you, then. Do not worry.

[Hmm...he wonders if he can get something on short notice...]

...would you like to take a little trip with me, Love?

[matteimasu]

[ He sighs with relief, though the question puzzles him for a moment. He looks up from under his tail. ]

A trip?

...A-All right.

[karappo]

Do not worry, you can remain in this form.

[Poseidon grabs his trident again before getting up and swimming towards the exit, smiling to himself when he hears the telltale sound of scales shuffling as their sons swim away quickly before they're caught eavesdropping.]

I have been meaning to show you the sea on our own time, and I also need to find you some suitable clothing. Why not both at once?

[matteimasu]

Oh!

Yes! I would love that then!

[ ... ]

...Are you well enough now though?

[karappo]

More than well enough!

[He's still not 100%...but he's a lot better than he was before. And he's too excited now to want to stay home.]

Besides, you have been down here long enough...you deserve to see the rest of your home.

[He says this as he swims upwards through the channels in the reef until he breaks through to the open sea, the sun shining down on them from the surface above.]

[ Amphitrite has to squeeze even tighter in order to hold on once they're moving and out in the open sea, the current and the strength of Poseidon's swimming not being something he's used to. It'd probably be easier to hold on if he were in his natural form but that ain't happening. ]

Oh--!

[ Still... what he sees when they get to open sea is enough to take his breath away regardless. IT'S SO VAST... ]

[Poseidon carries Amphitrite out of their reef home and far up into the sea, leaving it below them as he starts to swim toward the heart of where most of the other merfolk live. And he will soon realize that they live at what is essentially the very heart of a massive network of reefs and coral that branch out into the ocean and become a bit more sparse the further out they get. Almost every square inch of coral is teeming with sea life, whether it be covered with anemones or starfish, or clustered with groups of small fish swimming in and around the surfaces.

He pauses once he feels like he's up high enough, closer to the surface but still many yards off. Then, he turns around and angles the snake in his hand so he can look down below them at the city.

And it's. Massive. There are many merfolk down there swimming from place to place, some of them carrying things while others go into what look like various shops and recreational spaces. And from this angle, he will be able to see where the reef gets larger and closer together until it comes to a point that looks almost like a castle overlooking everything...]

[matteimasu]

[ ...OKAY NOW HE'S REALLY SPEECHLESS He looks on in awe, quiet for just a moment ] Oh my goodness.... There's... there's so many people! [ It reminds him of the past, a sight he hasn't seen in a long time ]

[karappo]

[He nods, letting him look on for as long as he would like.]

You did not think I simply ruled over fish, did you?

[matteimasu]

Of course not~ But I am a little surprised to see so many! For some reason I thought merfolk might be more spread out.

[ Maybe because the ocean is So Much ]

[karappo]

[Poseidon laughs.]

This is not every single merperson in the sea, of course...but this is one of the largest colonies in this area. I thought that staying in a place like this would be better for our sons...I had moved around a lot more before settling here.

[matteimasu]

I see, I see! That makes sense. I am sure they all feel quite relieved having the sea king living so close by.

[karappo]

[He nods, watching fondly as a group of merchildren swim through the city center, chasing each other as they play.]

I have spent the last twenty years looking after all of them as well as the rest of the sea. And now...they are your people too, Amphitrite.

[It's a bit of a risk, him saying that...he knows how he felt about the people of his island, after all. There's certainly no replacing them.]

[matteimasu]

Oh... [ At that... Amphitrite goes quiet. His... people... Then eventually he turns his head towards Poseidon ] I just wish I had something to give to them then... [ He gave his own people so much of himself in the past ]

[karappo]

Oh, love...you are already giving them something priceless.

And that is you.

[matteimasu]

[ Oh That His scales turn red and he hides his head with his tail again ] O-Oh stop... you are making me blush again...! [ But he sounds pretty happy ]

[karappo]

[OH GOOD potential crisis averted.

Poseidon holds the goddess a bit closer to his chest as he resumes swimming again, this time heading down toward the city proper.]

Do not get too shy- we are off to get you some new clothes!

[Where Poseidon is going, the attire is...definitely not modest, at least not by Megami's standards. But he knows that the mers working there will be able to put something together special for their soon-to-be Queen. They'd probably be honored to, even. Word of Amphitrite's presence had spread far and wide throughout the sea, though a lot of merfolk had yet to see him. So when Poseidon comes swimming down from above, they all look up and watch him, most clearly trying to find his new partner.

...not realizing he is the eel-snake in his hand.]

[matteimasu]

[ Amphitrite peaks out from under his tail and notices them all looking at Poseidon. It makes him even more subconscious and he hides again. ] I-I-I... will have to change back once we get there, w-w-won't I...?

[karappo]

Well...if you want to try it on there, yes. But we could just as easily bring it home first. Whatever you are most comfortable doing.

[matteimasu]

Oh! [ THANK GOD ] That is a relief! I would much prefer that! ...Can I confess something a little embarrassing?

[karappo]

Ah? Of course you can.

[Oh boy, is it more embarrassing than his current issue because Poseidon can't imagine what it might be.]
