[Poseidon's eyebrows raise past his bangs, but then he just smiles a bit wider and nods, placing his other hand flat on the ground so Megami can slither up onto it.]

I thought you would never ask.

[ Megami's face lights up and he eagerly slithers onto the hand, curling his tail around himself ]

[He's so cute...Poseidon can't help but chuckle once the whole of him is in his palm, lifting him up carefully off the sand so he can hold him close to his chest as they overlook the sea together.]

I am glad to see you using this form more...not that you must for me, or anything.

[ ah yes good his favorite spot ' V ' ] Well... it didn't make much sense maintaining the legs when you're my only visitor... it's a bit of a waste of energy when you think about it! A-And... y-you liked it, so...

Heh...that is true. And I do like it...quite a bit more than legs.

[Its kindof hot.

Poseidon gently strokes a finger down one side of Megami's coils, feeling the softness of them with a sort of intrigue that will never get old.]

[ Honestly if he told him it was hot he'd be pretty pleased about that. At the stroking, he uncurls his tail a little so he can wrap the tip around another finger ] Out of curiosity Poseidon, do you have any other forms? [ he's been wondering this for a while actually ]

Mmm...no...at least not that I have known of. I have never had need for additional forms, you see.

[He wonders...he surely has the strength to give himself new forms, right? He is a god with greater powers than Megami, so maybe...]

Really? That's quite a surprise... I was wondering since all the other high gods come here in different forms, but if you've never had a need then I suppose that makes sense. [ Zeus especially was... creative ]

[That Zeus. Being all...crafty. Did he think he was going to win Megami over that way...?]

I do not think it is a stretch to say that I possibly could, however...why do you ask?

Ah, well... it's a little embarrassing but... Mostly they change into the same size as me... I was just thinking about that, I suppose... ...And also about... showing you my lake before I leave it... maybe...

[Oh...that has Poseidon deflating just a little. Of course they would have done that, should they be courting him...meanwhile he's the size of a blue whale and has no choice but to hold him in his hand and not really do much more than that.

It really puts things into perspective, actually.

So he sits there quietly for a long moment, just...thinking.]

...I could...perhaps try, if you wanted me to.

... [ he thinks on it too for a bit ] ...If you want to. I would not want you to feel like you have to just for my sake, and I do like you at this size, you know. [ it makes Poseidon feel more honest to him... more sincere and disingenuous. Just coming as he is. ...but he also remembers Poseidon mentioning Zeus was lucky enough to be able to embrace his wife at all so... ] It was just a curiosity, that's all.

[He huffs a soft laugh, his tail curling in the water a bit.]

I do appreciate the sentiment...there are many times I wish I could be smaller, though. Just small enough to properly do certain things. Specifically with our children as they were growing up...

[But he knows it would not do to dwell on that too much now. As he said, he never thought about trying...at least not until now.]

I would very much like to be able to hug you, at least.

[matteimasu]

[ his face goes bright red again ] O-Oh... I... ...I-I would like that too... [ ... ] I-If you cannot become smaller though, I... I-I could try... t-to become bigger...

[Oh. Well that gets his attention.]

I...I-I'm not sure if I can actually can b-but... well I can already become a giant serpent so... [ MAYBE???????? ]

W-well I...I would not be against you trying, either....but again, only if you wanted to.

[ And at that he suddenly becomes very determined ] I want to! [ he raises his fists to chest level ] Like I said, I want to hug too!

[He gives Megami's coils one last pat with his finger before pulling it away.]

O-Okay! [ At that he makes his way out of Poseidon's hand, having no trouble slithering down his body and back onto the sand. Advantages of being part snake. ] I'm just going to put some space between us... j-just in case! [ Apparently he meant... now... Hugs are very serious, okay. Once there's adequate space he stops and closes his eyes, hands clasped, trying to focus... ]

[Well well. This should be interesting...and true to his word, even though he is surprised he's trying right NOW, Poseidon leans back on his forearms and watches Megami as he concentrates.]

[ He keeps concentrating... but nothing happens. Except for the way his face starts to look a little strained, the face of someone getting frustrated that they aren't getting results... Finally after all that something poofs and changes... ]
