Which is to say Poseidon goes rather still, suddenly, because he's experiencing a lot of contact that he's never been able to before all at once and it's A Lot. A good A Lot but still A Lot.]

A-ah...

[He starts, but his tongue gets quickly tied and he goes quiet again, because he can think of more than a few things besides hugging he's never been able to do. Lord knows there are many of those things he wouldn't even start suggesting right now, but...the way Megami worded that was pretty explicit in meaning things he could do with him.]

I've never....really...kissed anyone...I guess...

[He's kissed his children, sure, and even Megami that one time, but not. Really.]

[ ..............................................:) ] Mm, I had wondered. [ truth is while he'd been kissed himself before it was... much like the times he'd been embraced. and he's not about to bring that up right now and make Poseidon angry again. So instead he just decides to act instead without saying much else. Which is to say he faces Poseidon enough to hesitantly give him a short, chaste kiss. ...very short and very chaste. An apprehensive peck more than anything but hey, thought that counts ]

[He's...not sure what else he was expecting, but he couldn't have seen a kiss- chaste though it is- from Megami coming from miles off. And when it happens, it's too quick for him to properly comprehend it before it's over.]

[Poseidon steels himself, even though he's visibly shaking a little and every part of his skin visible beyond his scales is just red...and he returns the gesture. Just as chaste and possibly even gentler because he's still afraid of hurting him by being too sudden since he's...still very much somewhat larger.

But he does let the kiss linger for just a touch longer. Long enough for him to reach up and ghost a hand against the side of Megami's face during it.]

[ Megami was ready for a lot of things: having to apologize for being so bold, Poseidon getting flustered, Poseidon getting mad even... What he wasn't ready for was for Poseidon to kiss him back, and as a result he can't help the muffled squeak like sound he makes in surprise once their lips meet again. But despite his surprise and how red his face turns, he melts into it pretty quickly, especially once he feels Poseidon's hand. With his eyes closed he lifts his body up a bit more with his tail so he can push himself into the kiss a bit more, then takes his own arms away from Poseidon's waist and rests them on his shoulders instead. It may only last a touch longer but he's reciprocating fully. ]

[And that...is probably a moment Poseidon will never forget. Not in a hundred millennia. None of the fantasies of other gods or goddesses loving him as their own could ever compare to this. For Poseidon might be a god, but he is one of simple needs...he's just as jealous and vindictive as his siblings can be, but he's a lot more emotional and passionate in ways compared to them. And now he's found someone that he isn't willing to give up, not for anything. Just as much as he wants Choromatsu back in the sea with him...he wants Megami there, too.

He doesn't let the kiss go on for too long, mostly because he's still new to the whole...contact thing, but even when he does finally pull back he's still holding Megami close, a little surprised to notice that he's got his hands on his shoulders now.

...and he smiles, his expression truly happy for the first time in days.]

[ That truly happy expression is one Megami will never forget either. That's all he's ever wanted to see since that day he gave Poseidon the egg their children came from: to see his beloved sea happy. He's still blushing and he has to look down for a moment, or else he'll be too overcome with emotions to speak. ] I'm... I'm the one that should be thanking you. Y-You've given me hope and--

[ But he doesn't get to finish that sentence Because the problem with trying out a larger new form is that it takes a toll on your energy, especially when you're a minor god that didn't have too much to begin with (at least in comparison to higher gods) He poofs back into his natural smaller form mid sentence, laying face down in the sand ]

[Oh. Oh gosh.

Poseidon's arms are suddenly empty once more as Megami collapses into the sand, leaving him a little bewildered by the sudden absence. It doesn't take him long to realize what happened, though, and before the goddess knows it he'll feel one of Poseidon's now massive hands digging into the sand beneath him, scooping him into his palm sand and all.

Sand falls between his fingers as he holds the exhausted goddess up near his face once more.]

Megami! A-are you alright?

[matteimasu]

[ he sputters some sand out before speaking ] Y-Yes, I'm all right...! I-I'm sorry, I... s-suppose I will have to practice m-maintaining that form...

[karappo]

Oh, do not apologize...what you were able to do was fantastic, really.

[He got a hug AND a kiss from it!]

You are so much more powerful than you give yourself credit for.

...I of course...would not mind seeing how you have improved, once you practice.

[ He tries to sit himself back up but his arms give way and he realizes... just how weak that made him, so he instead settles for turning on his side ] I... will do my best. ...Perhaps eventually I will be able to maintain that form long enough to lay with you through the night, once we are wed. [ wow Megami sharing a bed with your husband... scandalous ] ...Sh-Should we be wed. [ it's not set in stone until the quest is complete after all ]

[Poseidon carefully sweeps the sand away from around Megami, jolting inwardly when Megami mentions being able to sleep with him at a proper size.

C.......cuddling.......

He shakes his head a little to snap back out of it, resurfacing around the time Megami mentions if they should be wed.]

O-oh, I have no doubt you will be able to...especially now that you can.

[matteimasu]

[ Megami smiles and laughs softly ] Well with your confidence in me how can I not succeed? [ he rests his eyes for a moment ] What I was saying before though... I really mean that.

[Poseidon rests his elbows in the sand again, holding Megami with one hand while the other props his own head up while he looks on at him fondly.]

That all makes me feel rather special, you know.

[matteimasu]

[ Not being able to do much else at present he wraps his tail loosely around Poseidon again, this time around his thumb. ] Well, as you should. You are quite special... remarkable even. Many gods have come here... but I truly have never met one like you. [ You've known him for like three days Megami but okay ]

[Well...at least we know where Choromatsu gets that from. Not that Poseidon is much better, utterly smitten with Megami the more time he spends with him.

But, that's what happens when you've been trying to find a companion for thousands of years. When you actually find them, you're not entirely sure what to do with yourself for a while afterward.]

Has it been very many? That must have been difficult...especially if you had to turn down their advances.

Mmhmm... both of your brothers, along with a handful of gods beneath them-- though come to think of it, I don't think I ever actually properly met Hades back when he was still trying... just found his presents. [ and those stopped after Hades just kidnapped himself a wife so maybe Megami should consider himself lucky ] I believe the appeal in me started when it got out that I was actually male... that my title of goddess was merely a misunderstanding. I suppose a man that could be mistaken for a women for so long AND managed to stay chaste piqued enough of their interest to come here and attempt to win me over. [ because Greeks were really fucking gay ] ...That and... uh... well... [ ...this other part's a bit embarrassing because Poseidon hasn't seen this part of him yet ]

[Yeah...yeah that does sound about right. But Megami faltering like that intrigues Poseidon in the worst of ways.]

[He invites Megami to continue, curious.]

[He chuckles deeply at that, using his thumb to pet Megami's tail.]

Is this something I will get to see, at some point?

[He's teasing, but...also curious.]

If you piss me off maybe. [ said a little TOO cheery even in spite of his ungodly language ] ...Though it's more likely someone else anger me in your presence than you will. [ don't talk shit about his husband, he'll fuck you up o`_o ]
