Post Airlocked Choromatsu CMO Post


This is an open catch-all post for airlocked!Choromatsu, taking place a few years after the end of the game (though I am down for some more immediate post game threads as well). After no longer feeling like he has a place in his home world anymore, Choromatsu returned to space to seek out his own independence and protect others. He looks a lot different now (he grew his hair back out) and has matured a lot because of his experience, but he’s still good old Choromatsu.

Yuuri sets the big stack o' bento carefully down on the table and then after an awkward moment of hovering, she pulls out one of the chairs and sits herself down. ]

I'm sorry, um– maybe putting this away would be a better idea?

[ Wow rude Yuuri!! The dog seems unperturbed, it’s tongue hanging out the side of its mouth. ]

”Iz that chikan? Cermet would like chikan pls!!”

[ Now that Jenny realizes what’s happening they’re wheeling around and raising their voice at the dog. ]

CERMET!! How many times do I have to tell you not to walk on the table!!!

[ The dog hops off but it’s definitely grumbling to itself about how “emotional support rock Jenny” shouldn’t boss him around. ]

Of... course. Yes. [ Fool on her for ever assuming that Choromatsu of all people would ever have a normal roommate situation. Mother of god. ] So there's... how many of you living here, three? You, Choromatsu-kun and um... Cermet-san.

[ They bend down to pick up Cermet, who seems to have decided he wants attention now. ]

Though these days Nep is here so often he practically lives here too. Beech may as well just move in already.

Nep-san... so that's who he's dating.

[ She wants to Seriously Interrogate about him, but just barely manages to restrain herself. That can wait until Choromatsu's out here and Yuuri can shake him down herself. ]

It sounds like it's nice and busy here, though. That's nice. I had this awful image in my head of him all by himself in the apartment all day.

[ ...fuck they hadn’t even realized they said Neptoo’s name (and worse, called him by his nickname). Oops. ]

Oh, don’t worry about that. Believe me, he couldn’t find time alone even if he tried. Even getting Mofu to leave his side is hard enough.

[ Which speaking of... Mofu’s taken to floating back in front of the closed door like an annoying cat. Good thing she doesn’t have claws to scratch with. Jenny meanwhile has headed to take a seat at the table, Cermet still in their arms. ]

We uh... we all do our best to keep an eye on him.

[ Her smile goes a little softer and quieter as she says that. ]

I know he can look after himself just fine, but... I still worry about him. It's a big change to make, moving out from his home like that and coming all the way out here. It was definitely better for him, but... well, like I said. I still worry.

[ She laughs, a little self-deprecating. ]

Ah... no, no it’s okay. I get it, you know? I mean, all y’all are pretty close, right? Or at least, it seemed that way. You guys went through a lot together, it makes sense that you’d worry.

[ Cermet has his head on the table and he’s giving the biggest puppy dog eyes. ]

Well – it is dinner time. And I made enough to share, so why don't we dig into some of it now? There's no point in sitting around and being hungry while there's food here.

[ She standing up and already busying herself with getting the bento unpacked even as she says this. ]

Besides, if a certain someone didn't want to miss out on dinner, he shouldn't be sleeping in so late.
