It's probably thanks to the sheer amount of shock and adrenaline that Poseidon hasn't changed back yet, and even then his body probably isn't going to be able to take the fresh water for much longer...but at least not having to breathe it makes it more tolerable.

[Poseidon reaches reflexively for Megami's hand- realizing in that moment that they can hold hands now- to help him down into the water.]
Knowing him and the others, they will probably be wanting to see you even more after all of this...I will have to dissuade them somehow until you are well again.
[He almost doesn't, to be honest. But once Megami is in the water fully, he pulls his hand away (after giving him one last little squeeze) and starts to slowly unfold his legs from beneath himself.]
I will bring them soon, I promise. And even sooner still, I will free you from this island and bring you home to us, forever.

No...it is Choromatsu's partners. I am just wondering if they will try to return to him at some point...I gave him permission to visit them at the shore, but they may try to come to the open sea instead. It is dangerous right now given that I have only recently gotten my power back. I do not know what state Totoko threw things into.
So if you happen to see them, or any ship for that matter, tell them to go back. At least for now.
