[Whether he realizes it or not, Megami's making it increasingly hard for Poseidon to want to leave the island. He'd much rather just keep holding him, and talking to him...getting to know him more while he tries to think of ways to free him from his island. It hurts his heart to think that he will have to continue being alone up until he figures that out...assuming he ever does.]

[He moves his hand slightly so he can use his index finger to this time stroke Megami's coils that are currently wound around and between his fingers, still marveling at how soft they are.]
Until everything is worked out...and until I complete your quest, I will come visit you as often as possible. And I will hold you, like this.
[Oh...well this is slightly problematic if he was wanting to leave any time soon, but...he can stay for a while longer, enough for Megami to rest and feel. Well. Secure. He probably hasn't felt that way in a very long time.
So Poseidon allows himself to relax for the first time in days, even though the lack of conversation causes all of his worries to start creeping back. The best thing he can do is sit there and hold Megami, occasionally petting his coils while he sleeps...but unfortunately, he can't stay that way forever.
He beaches himself to the point of nearly being out of the water entirely so he can reach a grassy embankment, very gently sliding his fingers out from beneath Megami's coils so he can deposit him onto the ground with his head pillowed on part of his body.
Before he leaves though, he leans down and very gently presses his lips to the top of Megami's head, leaning away and digging his hands into the sand to force his body back into the water. Once the waves overtake him, the sea king disappears into the depths and leaves the island quiet and desolate once more.]
