[Well...hopefully Choromatsu made the decision he thinks was the right one. There's no turning back now.
Totoko snaps her fingers, and the two trout that follow her around suddenly swim to Choromatsu's sides, hovering near him as she draws her hands over the concoction of potions she's put together. Already the bubbling steam has started to rise up out of it, churning through the water and completely masking her for a moment behind it.
it starts to curl and writhe around them both, making the sudden light coming up out of it all the more potent as she reaches for the shell and holds it up in front of her.]
[Totoko cackles, periodically shouting at Choromatsu to sing louder, louder still...and as she holds up the shell towards him, that light suddenly moves to combine with all of the steam curling around them, physically reaching down Choromatsu's throat to pluck his voice right from out of him. And once it's gone, it gets sucked up into the shell that Totoko immediately pulls back protectively to herself, lifting her other hand.]
I hope you took a big breath after all that singing, little Prince!
[And there's a reason her fish are nearby. She doesn't want to kill him, and the moment he can't breathe water any longer he'll only have minutes to get to the surface, but her fish can drag him up as far as he needs to go.
Meanwhile...Choromatsu himself will have to contend with a rather abrupt and quite honestly brutally fast set of transformations as his tail suddenly splits in half to make way for legs, and the rest of his clothes come ripping off of him in the wake of it.]
[ The hand going down his throat is unsettling enough and once his voice is gone he stares at it go into the shell, clutching his throat in surprise.
And then the transformation comes.
He'd scream if he could. The split is quick and sudden and doesn't feel right and he can already feel himself going into shock... but there isn't any time for that when he realizes he can't breathe.
Oh... so this is why humans can't live under water.
He's already struggling to figure out how to swim with legs so THANK GOD FOR THOSE FISH ]
[THANK GOD FOR THOSE FISH INDEED...Totoko actually waves them off cheekily as they push up beneath Choromatsu's arms and drive him up and out of the cavern toward the surface with more strength than they have any right to have. Thanks to Totoko's spell, Choromatsu isn't pushed back by currents...they're able to push him right up through to breach the surface.
Whether Choromatsu is still conscious or not at this point, the trout carry him the rest of the way to some sort of land he can rest on, just to make sure they don't just dump him in the middle of the sea with no actual way to swim to shore.
And back in her cave, Totoko grips the shell with the sea king's son's voice trapped inside, giggling to herself. Things were going to get interesting very soon.]

And so, timidly he opens his mouth ]
Aaah-aaah-aaaaaaaa...
[ And it's quiet at first because of his nervousness but then it gets louder and louder until it's as loud as he can go... ]
