Shall I name this heart-rending pain "snow halation"?
[ She'd been practicing late into the night, easily losing track of time. Dancing was helping her keep her mind off of all her worries and all of the awful things that have been going on, and when she had the Nijigasaki CD playing she could pretend for a moment that this was a dance studio back home.
She was taking a break though, music off and the Rina-chan Board still on her face as she sat down panting. That was when she heard it: someone in the hall. At first her heart seized with fear, suddenly becoming acutely aware of what day of the week it was but after a moment she got out her courage and peaked out of the studio.
He was already long past but she would recognize that figure any day: that was definitely Varian.
Confusion came over her. What was Varian doing out here this late? Did he have difficulty sleeping or...
...
Soon the fear was back in full force. Varian wouldn't do anything horrible like fall for the motive, would he? He'd been... stressed and upset but not THAT much so right? But if he's alone might he also become the next victim? (Saying nothing her own self preservation here.)
In the end she decides to go after him. She should... no, she has to. At the very least he won't be all alone if she does. They're each other's buddies after all. And more than that she's his girlfriend. She spent all day worried she wasn't doing enough, that she could have been there for him more and she can't just leave him be now. And in the off chance he's planning anything...
(He's not. He can't be. There's no way he would--)
..Well. She'll just have to stop him, won't she? That's also what a buddy/girlfriend should do.
It takes her a moment to figure out where he went, but eventually she finds him outside, the Rina-chan Board lighting her way through the night. When she's finally just a few feet away she calls out to him. ]
Varian-kun...?
