[Seeing Yu being serious about this and coming right for him, makes him grab the hilt again]
Come on... come on!
[and he keeps pulling until finally the glowing gets even brighter and a long shape comes further out of his forehead, until finally he's able to actually swing downwards, praying that this blocks any incoming attacks as he keeps his eyes shut tight, bracing for impact]
[The weapons clash with a heavy ring. It's not a soft hit, Yu obviously coming at Adachi with intent to harm. But the older man had fought him before- either Yu was weaker then before, or he certainly hadn't had killing drive behind his swing.
Still probably would have drawn blood though. Yu's expression heated, a mix between excitement, reservation... and a little anger. Adachi bound himself by the 'rules', and Yu had, in his way... not forgiven, but accepted that. But it seems his feelings on the whole matter were still very strong.
Maybe he wanted to draw a little blood. Just a little]
[Adachi winces as he hears the clang. It takes him a moment afterwards before he cautiously opens an eye to check the damage. When he finally sees the weapon he summoned, both eyes shoot wide open in surprise.
wow doesn't that look
really familiar]
Aw man, are you kidding me?! They're the same again!
[stares at the hand... before narrow his eyes at it and ignoring it in favor of standing up on his own, using the sword-polearm-thing like a walking stick to stabilize himself.]
Awkward and lame, that's what it is. How the heck am I supposed to use this? I'm not my persona.

[Sorry Adachi, here he comes. No more banter.]
no subject
Oh crap!!
[Seeing Yu being serious about this and coming right for him, makes him grab the hilt again]
Come on... come on!

[guess he should have expected that]

[He shrugs, lowering the polearm and leaning on it. He had EXPECTED a sword. He was secretly HOPING for something like Izangai-no-Okami's weapon.
This was somewhere between]
1/2
Geez... And here I was hoping for a gun. How the heck am I supposed to use this thing...?
no subject
Whoa!!
no subject
It's pretty awkward, huh?
no subject

no subject
Well, technically...
no subject
My point is I don't even know how to use a weapon like this! If it doesn't have a trigger it's useless to me!
no subject
Like I said, you don't have to get involved.
no subject
Finally he sighs]
So how do I use this thing then?
no subject
I've been looking at it as a spear... though I guess that's not 100%.
[He hauls his up again, displaying how he separates his hands along the hilt.]
See, so all the weight isn't focused so much on your wrists.
no subject
[tries to hold it the same way and then lift it... man this is weird]
Like this then?
Geez, this thing's heavy...
no subject
[He lowers the point, sighing]
But it's what we have to work with.
